Two weeks in palm dessert was fun, wet & warm (with hot weather we warmed our bones as mommy & Mattie like to say). We stayed at an amazing resort and spent most days at the pool (with huge waterslide), taking long naps, eating good food and relaxing! The boys are more and more fun every day as they get older and are able to do more things. Swimming, diving (Matt) and walking, trying to run (Brady).
Chris & the boys horsing around before bed time. The boys are starting to "gang" up on daddy!

One of Brady's first words has been "ball" ... a true ball boy he saw these balls outside a store and was pretty excited. Mattie joined in by hopping on top of the ball. Brady had to do what big bro does of course!

Chris & Brady... Brady bobbed happily for hours in his float! When he got tired, he just rested his head in the sun. A boy after his mommy's heart!

Chris & Mattie on the waterslide... tons of fun! Chris & Bec even went quite a few times by ourselves!!

Becky's cousin Elizabeth had a few days before college started so she drove out from her house in the San Bernadino area (while her parents Bob & Janice were at work) to join us for some shopping and swimming. Here she is on the waterslide!

Mattie's bed, just his size.

The Karhan family joined us the 2nd week, with Caroline (2.5) and Nicholas (1) things were busy but always full of fun times! Chris and Joe went on a Hummer tour through the Desert ...

...and Kiersten and Becky enjoyed some afternoons by the pool without the kiddos! After some pedicures the moms met the dads and kids for a great Mexican meal.

Out on the streets in downtown Palm Springs.

Tired Brady @ dinner, the warm sun wears him out. At least he lays his head down just about anywhere when he's tired.

Mattie & Caroline (and Nicholas too!) resting on the pool floats in the evening after a hard day at the pool.

Only in So. Cal. would there be a cactus ride at the mall :-).

Chris also won a pretty large poker tournament at a nearby casino ... which qualified him to play in a monthly tournament. He got 15th in this next tournament which is fantastic! If he had gotten first he would have won a seat to the World Series of Poker. 15th is pretty darn amazing! We learned that we have quite the poker player in the Laybourn house.
